Supporting Statement

Torry Library stands out as an example of the granite heritage of Aberdeen with fine classical lines of the architectural style of a long-gone era. The interior has fine proportions and the building is much loved and well used, having been adapted to assist those who are not able-bodied and also incorporates both traditional library materials and a range of internet technologies. There is potential for conversion and adaption to other community uses that compliment the activities of a local library
